“Predicting rain doesn’t count. Building arks does.” – Warren Buffett
Last week, prior to attending FILO in Chicago I drove from New Jersey to Charlottesville Virginia to attend my son’s graduation (with a Master’s degree) from UVA. My drive took me directly past some of the towns in Maryland which were tragically flooded recently.
It is my hope that those in need are receiving the help they require.
It is weather like this which reminds me of Warren Buffett’s statement. I wonder, if God through Noah had only warned of the coming flood, what good is that? Love is shown only through the fabrication, provision and the opportunity to be rescued by the Ark.
As a technical artist (in church or elsewhere) I am called to be a problem solver, not just a problem warner. My job is to build Arks, not just predict rain.
