CONTROLBOOTH.TV is dedicated to those that serve the Church through their gifts in the performing and technical arts. Posted here will be interviews with broadcast television video directors, a discussion of best practices and technical training. I hope that you will find something that encourages, challenges, informs or helps you serve better.

Take what you want. Use what you can. Feel free to ignore everything else. Leave comments. If you disagree with something written here don’t be afraid to comment why. Most of all, share that which is helpful to you with others.

Hi, my name is Tom and I work in television.  If interested, you can find my professional bio on Linked-In.

Over the past thirty-plus years I’ve worked in A/V/L corporate theater, radio, live sound and broadcast television on live events from locations around the world. I’ve worked inside Presidential palaces and the White House.  I’ve also built a control room into the back of a coffee bean truck.  A few of these telecasts have had worldwide audiences of one billion people.

As the Media Director at a megachurch in the 1980’s I developed a love for the Church and church performing and technical artists. It is to them that this website is dedicated.
